Who we are

The Bisexual Research Group is comprised of a group of researchers, educators, and activists working to better understand the bisexual, pansexual, Two-Spirit, polysexual, plurisexual, queer, fluid, and unlabeled experience.

We look forward to people from all levels of education presenting their work in October. This conference will feature work from researchers affiliated with universities, and from independent scholars. We also invited Bi+ activists and organisations to share their insights on bisexuality.

The conference will have sessions at various times to accommodate people in various timezones. That means that whether you are in Europe, the Americas, Oceania, or elsewhere, we will work hard to find a time that works for you and your colleagues.

We are looking for research from a broad range of areas, including the social sciences, history, cultural and media studies, health, and from therapeutic practitioners and activists working on bisexuality in their professional fields.

We welcome submissions related to bisexual, pansexual, Two-Spirit, queer, fluid, polysexual, plurisexual, and unlabeled experiences.

Acknowledging that bi+ identities intersect with gender, race, ethnicity, Indigeneity, class, disability and age and can result in interdependent and overlapping experiences of oppression, we invite voices that have been historically and systemically ignored, marginalized, diminished, distorted, undermined, or silenced.

All abstracts will be peer-reviewed and checked for event suitability. Due to capacity and time limitations, only one abstract will be accepted per presenter. We will do our absolute best to ensure your presentation time accommodates your time zone and if not feasible, we are happy to accept pre-recorded presentations.

Submission deadline is any time, in any timezone, on:

22.07.2024
